NNG - Durbin & Greenbrer Valley Climax #3 in steam

We fired up D&GVRR - former Moore Keppel - two truck Climax #3 for some testing yesterday in preparation for a charter train this Sunday.
She seemed to perform quite well, with only a couple of minor issues. #3 is one of only 2 Climax locomotives operating in the US.
In the "Shameless Plug" department, we still have a tickets available for our annual Railfan Weekend in mid-May. You can see Shays battle with Back Allegheny Mountain, a Heisler run along the Cheat River on the old Greenbrier, Cheat & Elk RR, and on Sunday catch little #3 ramble along the old C&O out of Durbin.
All 3 types of geared chooches in one weekend! WOW!
Beats that weird wacky narrow gauge stuff with the wheels hiding behind the frames anyday......!
