With all the 75-100 year old wooden cars in Chama, it is my concern that a "Los Alamos" type problem happen. I know everyone (Chama fire department, Nemexico and Colorado fire fighters, The Friends, etc) would work to minimize and prevent any fire damage, but I would feel better if we had a couple of tracks in a concrete block building with a modern sprinkler etc. to keep one or two examples of each type of equipment (within reason) as insurance. If we lost all 4 long refers say, would we be able to replace them or be able to build a replica(s) of them?
I hope so. Expecially considering what we have done to re-save the C&TS this year.
