I remember reading that the spur to the south of the old wye with the Durango line was standard gauged after the closure of the Chili Line. Since the two shippers are relatively newer industries that were not on the old Chili Line. The wye was third rail until the end of narrow gauge operations on the Durango line when it was abandoned.
