Thanks to John Hammond for the time and information about the GE 44 ton locomotive at Georgetown Loop. John, one question I didn't ask you that might be of interest to others here. The long new building just to the south of the small yard area where the 44 ton locomotive sat, what is the purpose for that new building? Is it for storage of cars and equipment?
Beautiful day in Georgetown. Spring like, a little cool, but the promise of warm weather was in the air.
