In the 1940's usage of the C-18's was (roughly)[1]
315 on Ouray Branch 7/41 at Durango as switcher by 6/42, stayed there until retired in in 10/49
316 at Montrose throughout the early 40's, mostly used on Ouray branch, used there in the early part of '45, retired 11/46
317 Used mostly Gunnison-Montrose in the 40's, Gunnison Switcher in Fall of '44 (at least from 8/18/44 to 10/17/44) dismantled 11/48
318 mostly Gunnison-Montrose until 5/49, used on Ouray Branch after Black Canyon line removed, sold 1/54
319 Wandered a bit more. In Gunnison 7/40, at Durango 9/42 & 6/46, leased to RGS '43, '47, '49. Mostly at Durango after the war.
Ouray branch engine in Fall of '44 was mostly either 316 or 345. 340 was also used a lot on the branch until '49.
