Here's a freelance Drover's Caboose that I built from a LaBelle kit almost forty years ago. It was inspired by – but not based on – the waycar that once provided passenger service from Pagosa Junction (Gato) to Pagosa Springs

Aside from not yet being painted the model is almost complete - the cupola windows are positionable and the baggage doors slide open & closed, but at the time it was under construction neither working "flip-over" seats nor overhead baggage racks were available as HO-scale brass castings or stampings from Kemtron or Cal-Scale (are they today?).
Another problem is that the brakes only work manually — when the brake wheel is turned with a toothpick or some such
