I have just bought an O Scale Red Devil Coal Loader imported by Overland Models back in the 80's.
The model was apparently produced from a side elevation which shows the chute oriented in the same direction as the conveyor.
Pictures of the Red Devils at Alamosa and Antonito show the chute turned 90 degrees to the conveyor so as to deliver to a track parallel to the conveyor.
Are there any detailed photos available that show how the chute was configured to make the turn? I'm assuming there was some sort of box that dropped the coal onto the top of the chute.
I know that the C&S used Red Devils at Leadville and Fort Collins, I have not checked to see if these were also oriented with the chute set 90 degrees to the conveyor.
Thanks for any leads of info.
