Hi, Roger -
Are there any beavers in Cresco Creek*? If not, you should start a colony so that someday this shot from September, 1975, can be replicated:
Note that the helper engine, #484, is lettered 'A la Knoob' and the road engine, #483, is lettered 'A la
Bush Coker'.
I went back up there in 2004, and there were so many trees that I could barely even see the telegraphone booth from the 'Enter Colorado' sign - much less see the trestle - and just the very top of the water tower was visible. I had to move way off to the side, and take a wide-angle shot to get all of the "props" in the picture

Plenty of Beaver Food, though

* Is that the correct name of the creek, or is it "El Rio Chico de los Curmudgeones Viejos y Verdes Perdidas in Purgatorio"?
p.s. Roger Hogan has posted a very nice 2009 fall-colors shot of this location on the C&TS website recently.
IIRC, Roger and Michael Ripley were nearby when I shot the following
