I caught a piece of " Night Pasage" this afternoon on the tube. The first thing I saw was a good 'ol "k" model. I got there in the middle somewhere, I immediately turned it off and ordered a copy from Amazon so I could enjoy it commercial free.
I hopefully will soon be able to have a copy of "Ticket to Tomahawk" thanks to the fine people of this board, who steared me in the right direction to locate it.
Ahhhh.... life is good; Thanks Guys! You are friends indeed.
My 2-1/2" scale 36" narrow gauge 2-8-0 was inspired by the memories of these motion pictures, photo's, and books of which I speak, the romance and ambience of the narrow gauge railroads.... Those beautifull sights and sounds, remain vivid in my mind if only from the silver screen, sound recordings, and paper pages. I've never been out west to narrow gauge territory, I only wish I had.
Their profiles are indelible in my mind. And I endevor to recreate them. Albiet in miniture.... "But their big enough that I can ride in them".
