The RGS interchanged with the D&RGW alone... the RGS Interchanged with the D&RGW at Ridgeway which was it's "home base", it then ran down to Durango "The Long Way"... it came in from the west of town via Wildcat Canyon and entered town where the Highway 160 Bridge is now...if you look at old photos of the area in the 1950's the RGS bridge is parallel to 160's Bridge which was a beautiful Truss Bridge, and where the Red Lion (err now Doubletree) Hotel is now was a feed silo...
Also there are some photos of the roundhouse in Durango having RGS Geese and K-36's in stalls next to each other...
