315s main rod

Just curious as to where and when 315 aquired the new main rod??

On the firemans side there is a main rod with a round "head" on the crank pin, and on the Drivers, a rectangular "head". Through picture research, the rectangular seems to be the origional. Was this built new, or was it added by the D&RGW? And which loco did it come from if not new?
