Standard Gauging Cumbres Pass
I have been doing research on DRGW/DRG lines that we’re planned to be standard gauged but never were. The topic I’m on currently is the Cumbres
Pass route. I have located some maps on relocations over entirely different passes including a 1%, 2% and a 1.8% route. I have also found official DRGW references to relocations for a 2% line over Cumbres. What I
am after currently are maps or grade profiles of relocations for standard gauging Cumbres. Was a 2% line the only consideration or were there steeper lines surveyed or planned out?
