Around noon today the long time president of Tweetsie Railroad, Inc passed away. Harry C Robbins, brother of Tweetsie's founder Grover Robbins, Jr passed away in Blowing Rock, NC. Harry was 82 years of age, as a tribute to Mr. Robbins the engine crew placed 2 black flags on the front of #12, Harry along with his brothers Spencer and Grover, helped build NW North Carolina into a popular tourist destination. Not only did they build the Tweetsie RR, but they also started the Rebel Railroad in Pigeon Forge, TN, Which is now known as Dollywood.
