Switching Rules?
I understand railroads have rules about which side of the car the switchman should open the coupler. In general this would align all the open couplers throughout the railroad in the same direction making switching easier.
On the D&RGW narrow gauge did they follow any rule in this regard? Would it be a westbound end of a car or an eastbound end of a car? Or did they not follow any pattern or rule? If the D&RGW followed a rule, did the RGS use the same rules?
