315 first mainline test

Just a note to John West's message of September 13 regarding the fact that 315 did indeed pass her first mainline test with flying colors. John.....The hot boxes were on the tender , not the 315 and indeed, she (The engine) passed with flying colors. Also those trucks were bought and shipped to Durango from another tender and had never been tested and it was expected they would run hot. So, it would appear that TUT's marketing hype was RIGHT ON ... ! Oh yes, the subject about the coach being painted into the DRGW classic green from the 1940's.. The marketing department of the DSNG approved this over 18 months ago and had reconfirmed it to TUT over and over again for months now. On Friday
September 14 TUT received the word from the marketing department that the coach will not be painted into the green colors. This came as a total surprise to TUT. TUT only marketed what they were told from the railroad, nothing more.
