Running STeam

Guys,
The neighbors over at RYPN.org are talking about keeping them running. It got me to wondering if tnere are any narrow gauge restoration to steam projects going on outside of Colorado?
The point I am making is that a 2-6-0 in steam is a whole lot cheaper than a 4-8-4 and also most places do not have any place to run big engines.
The tiny little WW&F #10 had a wonderful time rolling back and forth on their three-quarter mile of 24" track this summer. and the kids loved every minute of it. So did us big kids! TM
