Found some pictures

I was sorting through some donated documents at our museum library today and came accross a couple fo neat pictures. Unfortunately I don't have a scanner to share them.

One is a shot of 491 & 492 in January 1962 just past Gato (you can see Gato in the distance) with at frieght of loaded gons, about 15 livestock cars, several boxcars & some flats with what looks like farm equipment. Says the photo is by Ron Ziel.

Another shot is closer with the same train what looks to be a little further West parallel to the river. Also date Jan 63 by Ron Ziel.

Found another colorized print of a picture of 406 and 410 cir. 1910 on Lobato bridge. Photographer unkown.

Another was a postcard (1971) showing caboose 0540 and boxcar 3468 in Durango yard.

Last, but certianly not least, 473 pulling a train around a curve in Animas Gorge between Elk Park & Silverton.

Thought you might appreciate knowing the DRGW memories are alive & well in the "Heart of Dixie."
