Wanted some of you Colorado narrow gaugers a question. I visited the Colorado Railroad Museum about this time last year and they were just finishing their circle of narrow gauge track.
My main peeve with railroad museums is that they tend to run their trains backwards too much. Of course it costs money to build loops, turntables and such. But is is too bad that the public perception of steam engines is that they run backwards a lot of the time. Look at the thousands who have ridden the Strasburg Railroad backwards!
So my question is how does it feel to see the 346 running pilot forward for a change? Must be great to see her steam by something like 60 narrow gauge cars of all ages and types. I hope I can get back for another when the Roundhouse is in use.
