East Broad Top 40th Anniversary Celebration Aug 12

The East Broad Top Railroad is the last original narrow gauge railroad east of the Rockies and the oldest surviving narrow gauge in America. Following is the EBT's official press release on the Celebration to be held on Saturday August 12th in Rockhill Furnace, 40 years to the day (minus one) after the EBT was reopened for tourist service. 40th Anniversary Celebration
August 12th, 2000
40th Anniversary Celebration of the re-opening of the East Broad Top
Railroad and the establishment of the Rockhill Trolley Museum.
Ceremony with State and Local officials to be held at 10:00 am.
Special Train and Trolley operations.
Train and Trolley Parade in the afternoon.
Twilight Train and Trolley rides (if demand warrants)
Commemorative Souvenirs.
Vintage East Broad Top Film program after dark.
Numerous other activities all day.
