I was talking with Ed McLaughlin a few minutes ago and he said that the 463 may be steamed up tomorrow. If nothing else, that will get it out of the shop and give the shop crew more room to work on the other locomotives. The first trains will be work trains distributing ties and taking the generator and kitchen equipment to Osier. There may also be some ballast hauling, but that will be pretty limited until we get our five hoppers from the EBT in a month or so (and once in Antonito they will take a LOT of work to make roadworthy). Speaking of work, there are two Friends volunteer work sessions in May to work on fixing up the rather shabby passenger cars, if any one wants to lend a hand they should contact the Friends office in Albuquerque immediately to sign up (505-880-1311).
