....But not far. We went up to the sand house and ran the engine back and forward. We determined it has one eccentric blade that needs adjustment. We tried to complete an orifice test, but alas, an air pump gasket blew, so we could not legally go on the loop. the pop valves from Strasburg worked great after they lifted a few times. The fire was dropped and we made a long list of repairs. The only biggie is the branch pipes are too old anbd cracked, so we need to make new ones. 315 did not run today. We are taking off for a week or so and will get its problems straightened out. It looks like it is going to be an excellent locomotive mechanically, and has a good throttle and brakes. 315 should be in running order for the TUT excursion in a month. See some of you at the NGC in Maine this week. In the meantime go to drhs315.org for official info. We have a line of great hats, shirts, etc. with a fantastic logo designed by Yours Truly.
