I was reflecting on the good news of 315 and 346 and it suddenly struck me what a remarkable day we had today in Colorado. We had narrow gauge steamers shuffling back and forth across Cumbres Pass and up to Silverton and back to Durango on their usual runs. We had 315 under steam in Durango. 346 was under steam and running on the loop at the CRRM in Golden. SL&RG 1744 steamed back and forth across La Veta Pass. And finally UP 844 ran down to Pueblo and back. What an assortment of unrelated steam activity!--all on the same day, in the same state. Pretty remarkable I would have to say.
