Ballast work on the C&TS

From the various photos posted on the C&TS shop up dates by Carlos Llamas, it sounds like excellent progress has been made in improving the track conditions of the C&TS.

However, not being able to ride this past season, or likely for a few seasons to come, I am interested in just how much reconditioning/ballast work has been done.

From what I have been able to tell, the bulk of the work has been done on the Antonito end of the line.

Of the total 64 miles, I am curious to know how many miles have been ballasted, tamped, leveled, etc. and how much remains.

Has any of the climb from Chama to Cumbress been ballasted?

How many more total miles have to be ballasted?

Finally, which year is anticipated as the year when the track reconditioning program will be announced as "complete?"
