I'm not even sure this is the D&RGW bridge, as it is a single lane road bridge and may have been built "after" the railroad was torn up. This bridge is next to the Right-of-Way, and from the looks of it, there was some heavy duty moving/removeing done around the area a while ago...
Does anybody have any further information on the bridge about a mile west of the Chama wye? The only pics I have seen of the bridge are from atop the hill and a good ways away from it. Was it steel? Girder? Wood?
I know this picture is a little big, but I appologize for that....
I am looking south, with the Chama Yard to my left, and the Durango line to my right. This site is littered with old bolts, bands, spikes, timbers, and even a brakeshoe.
