315 at Montrose and Salida... and Durango?

Guys,

In anticipation of the 315's return, I went back into the library here at Trains and dug out some in serivce shots of her. I found two Dick Kindig shots of her at Montrose in 1938 and at Salida in 1940. Then I found two shots (by Al Kalmbach himself) of her switching Durango. They're undated. The tender lettering is "modern" for the Durango images. Is there a logical progression of her career or did she "boom" around the D&RGW?
