Guess which of these two spent the day inside the firebox of 1733. After the first day run of 1733 on May 26, the 1733 crew discovered a leak in her firebox, so I didn't get to ride behind her. Instead I rode behind the U-39B diesel. This line to La Veta is a great trip even without steam & everyone is so courteous & excited about the 1733. When we returned to Antonito in the afternoon, we found Earl, Steve & the rest of their "pit crew" had completed the repairs & did run the next day. I'll be back to ride again!
