I am taking my family to California this Summer and we are planning to ride the Roaring Camp Railroad. My son likes trains but gets bored if there isn't anything to see on the ride. He liked the Georgetown Loop but didn't like the Texas State Railroad because it was "tree after tree after tree". There are two options with the Roaring Camp: a steam narrow gauge and a diesel standard gauge. While i ordinarily prefer steam, the diesel sounds like it has a more interesting ride. Can someone help me decide?
