Dolores Star Newspaper-November 1901:
"On Saturday last (November 2) one ton of uranium ore was shipped from this station by Frank Silvey, and was consigned to John C. Wiarda & Co. of Brooklyn, New York. This ore was sorted very carefully and was sent out as a test. It is thought that a profit of $60 can be realized by the owner of uranium claims on each ton of ore shipped, over and abnove all expenses of mining, transportation and treatment, and this shipment was made to demonstrate that idea. Should the returns justify, other and larger consignments will follow."
Does anyone know of a earlier reference of the RGS handling Uranium?
