Narrow Gauge Question

April 21, 2007 08:06PM
I submitted this question earlier but I forgot to include the subject so I'll try again. I was traveling through Colorado a couple of weeks ago and picked up a book to read. It said that in the 1880's when Gould took over the D&RG, a third rail was installed to accomodate standard gauge locomotives and when Moffat took over it was all converted to standard gauge. Is that correct as I hadn't known that. If so, when did they convert it back to narrow gauge?
