Here are the senority dates of the last scheduled train to run on the Chilli Line, Sept. 1, 1941, Santa Fe to Antonito. (From Colorado Railroad Museum Records)
Conductor~
Henry Willis, B 8-11-1890, C 10-20-1897
Enginer~
Charles Arnell, F 4-4-00 E 11-27-04
Fireman
Roy Brown, F 10-4-15, E 10-23-19
Trainman
J.C. Legg, B 9-4-25
As I recall I believe someone posted a 1918 senority date for Brown as engineer.
Carl Jack said all these men, except Brown, were off the railroad when he hired out in 1951. I don't know why Legg was no longer on the railroad.
