Here is a thought to ponder.
For the price of a train ticket, we in the steam tourist inidustry are selling a memory. Plain and simple. It is up to us to make that memory a good one. One that will be cherished for a long time to come.
So as we start to go into the 2007 operating season I am asking all of us in the industry to be friendly and enthusiastic about what we are doing.
Most visitors will be looking up at the engine and train crews with a lot of respect and admiration. Much like american icons of the past. It is up to us to be professional railroaders but most important of all, BE SAFE.
Give evryone that good memory. After all you are on "stage" and yours is the face people will remember.
