C&TSRR history

I have been reading the NGDF for a couple years now and enjoy it immensely. A recent tread got me thinking that I would like to see a brief history of the C&TSRR descibing who the individuals were that contributed to it's success. I am guessing this would involve who the commission members were, management organizations, individuals, etc. and their contributions. A couple names I recognize (John Craft, Kim Smith) however, I have only a bit of an idea of their contributions and no information as to when. I guess I am looking for a history lesson for the C&TSRR starting with when the D&RGW stopped operations.
Does such exist?
