I was reading "Memories of the Narrow Gauge Circle" and came across a shot of Rio Grande Southern rotary plow # 2. The caption stated that it was fortunate that the photographer took the picture from the right side as it spared us the terrible view of the left side having been blown apart by a boiler explosion. When did this occur, and what is the story involved? Was the rotary rebuilt or scrapped? Just curious!!!
