Well, I know folk's have seen me post, but this is a very important post for me. Today, Marty completed his last operating day on the Huckleberry Railroad, here in Michigan. Marty has taught me a lot..and I mean A LOT! I was just a curious railfan...year's ago, and now I am an operating employee..thanks to Marty. He has more railroad knowledge in his "pinky finger", than I have in my whole body combined. 464 is a testimonial to that. From New Jersey, to Texas, and back to Michigan...Marty has seen and done it all in the "Steam Circle". He has helped many with knowledge and experience, and has been a friend to all. I owe Marty a lot. Not only a great friend, but a wealth of experience to draw on. Now, he is "retiring"... but I am sure, like many of us, he will be drawn back, by the "lure" of steam. I wish you the best in your retirement Marty...and I am sure I will still draw on that knowledge! This is my heart felt "THANK YOU"..for taking a chance on me, and teaching me so much! Please join me folk's, in thanking Marty, for whatever reason you have.. and wish him well... and if you are into scale steam...you better get a hold of him...some of the best dang boilers around!! Thanks Marty!
Best Regards,
Galen
