Came across a bunch of previously unseen (to me) Uintah photos - so bear with me.
This was taken probably around 1911, because I am assuming that the two men with full billed hats are army soldiers from Ft. Duchesne that was closed that year. Very few shipments of products left from Watson, Utah other than Gilsonite and Wool. Cars are definetly being loaded with the help of the horse in the foreground, using a cable and a couple of planks from the high ground to the left of the flat cars. Photo was taken at the far north end of the rail line in Watson, looking south. The Building in the center of the photo is the Watson freight warehouse. Notice the older style of coupler "bumpers" that was in use at this time. Later the Uintah went to two round "bumpers" on either side of the coupler. These were used to help with the steep grades and curvitures on Baxter Pass and help from derailing?
