The Return of D&RGW 453

On August 12 & 13 D&RGW 453 will be at the Huckleberry RR. Since 453 was the only K-27 that ran with a doghouse, we will put the doghouse back on 464's tender and re-number her 453 for our Railfan's Weekend. At the same time our Ten-Wheeler will be returned to her original identity of U.S. 152.
On Saturday, August 12, 453 will pull the 12 and 1 PM trains, with 152 taking over for the 2 and 3 PM runs. The 4 PM train will be double headed. The photo extra Saturday evening will actually be two separate trains following each other around the railroad, with stops for double runbys. Sunday will see 152 pull the 12 and 1 PM trains, with 453 on the 2 and 3 PM runs. The last train of the weekend, at 4 PM Sunday, will be another double header. These are the last days we are planning on running the Ten-Wheeler this year. The two weekends after Railfan's we will have our first Day Out With Thomas, so we won't be running the steam locomotives.
