Newfoundland Railway

I was going back through the archives here and noticed that there was some information requested about the former CN Newfoundland railway. One publication that might be of interest to those wanting info about this line is a 128 pg book entitled "The Newfie Bullet". It was written and published by Mont Lingard, and is available on the used book market for around $50 US I believe. In the book, the author lists his address as 39 Maple St., Badger NL, AOH 1AO; his phone #: 709-539-2156, and his e-mail as: m.lingard@nf.sympatico.ca
The book concentrates on the history of the railway right up to abandonment, focussing on the passenger operations. It also contains CN Engineering Dept. diagrams showing the side and end elevations, and basic measurement data for the GMD G8 and NF 210 diesels, Steam generator cars, express cars, mail cars, sleeping cars, diner and coaches 766-772.Side elevations for the J8 Pacifics 590-595, and R2 Mikados 300-329 are there too.
This book is now 6 years old so the author's location info may have changed.
Hope that this might be of interest!
