This Wiscasset, Waterville, and Farmington Railway in Alna, Maine now has a fire car that was built by two dedicated volunteers on this project. The car has an old tip car frame, decked over with PT 2x6"s. The tank on the car only holds sixty gallons of water, but is good enough to put out any fire beside the track, or in our right of way. The car looks really good, and now if we have a fire, at least we got more than just indian tanks, fire extinguishers, and the water that is in the tender of the locomotive.
