EBT Report: 6/20/06

June 20, 2006 10:08PM
When the main was cleared south of Odd Fellows Cemetery Rd crossing, the only intended purpose was a longer speeder ride.
Well, Stanley decided that since that southern-most cut of cars was now able to be reached, that his employees would grab a few cars that have been eyed up.
Yesterday, the M-4 backed all the way to Odd Fellows crossing and up the extreme south end of track three. Cars were greased and brought out three at a time.
The flatcar, 4-bay 1074, and a 3-bay were switched out.
M-6 put the remaining cars back and put that flatcar at the rear of the coach track and the two hoppers on one of the south car shop tracks. ...all of these movements on track with no support and no problems were encountered.
The "new" air compressor will be somehow mounted on the flatcar and help with track work. The regular work train used to be the Silver Sightseer with two trailers, but now they are using M-6 with a trailer. Having a flatcar for work train service will be a big help. The 4-bay and 3-bay are planned to be restored for charter service.
