Celebrate the start of 2006 operations on the East Broad Top Railroad with Friends of the East Broad Top. Join our volun teers for guided tours inside and around the railroad's unique Rockhill Furnace shop and yard complex. Dating from the late nineteenth century with significant early twentieth-century adap tions, the EBT railroad shop is widely recognized as one of the premier historic industrial sites in North America. Several times each day of this special weekend FEBT members will host two different tours.
Machine Shop Tour
A guided tour inside the heart of the railroad's shops. $7.00* per person
Yard Walking Tour
A guided walking tour around the exterior of the shop buildings and the EBT's Rockhill Furnace yard. FREE
But Wait-There's More!
Each day, at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm, the East Broad Top Railroad plans to operate three steam-powered trains. Ticket prices for standard seats are $10.00* for adults and $7.00 for children.
In addition, the Friends of the East Broad Top Museum in nearby Robertsdale will be open special hours this weekend: 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday and 12 noon to 5 pm on Sunday.
