Greetings:
Does anyone have any information or photographs of Shannopin Mine, in Bobtown, Pa. This was a 4 mile narrow gauge (48" Ga) surface railway that connected the underground coal mine to the preparation plant facility, crossing seven trestles, which all exist to this day. The last ten years the mine was in operation they used two GE 25-Ton locomotives for mainline haulage, plus two Plymouth's for supply yard functions. Originally they operated 600vdc overhead pantograph General Electric locomotives to haul the coal.
Thanks in advance for any information.
