i thought I would pass along a couple of comments on Rio Grande:Chasing the Narrow Gauge Volume II by Robert W. Richardson.
To put it simply I think it is even better than the first volume!
The stories of his personal interaction with the train crews and towns people are quite interesting, but the photography is what really get me excited.
The photography is in both black and white and color. And there is a lot of it.
Of course there are scenes of the Durango to Silverton branch; but better still there are many scenes taken on the long gone branches such as the Third Division from Gunnison to Ouray.
So Thanki you Mr Richardson, you are getting older but also better!
