I live in a small town with a very fine but also book store, not the sort of store you would expect an esoteric sort of rr book place on prominent display with the new arrivals. There are probably only a handful of hopeless diehard railfans in the community here. Anyway walked in, saw this book and had to have it. The book is "Wired For Sucess" on the Butte Anaconda and Pacific by Charlie Mutchler who often posts on this board. While the Butte Anaconda and Pacific was std. ga. there is a good deal in the book about the UP owned Utah Northern and the Montana Union which was jointly owned by UP and NP, narrow gauges that were built in part to tap the mining boom occuring in the Bute area. Anyway, I certainly recommend the book. Thanks Charlie!
Has anyone written a similar work on the Nev. Northern and Ely?
