The winter of 1931-32 was by all accounts the worst winter for the narrow gauge in the 20th century. During the next few months I will post entries from the Cumbres train register during that period.
D&RGW Cumbres Train Register
November 22, 1931 (Sunday)
8:35 AM Extra east 477-491 arrives, flanger, caboose 0517.
8:45 AM Extra east 498-496 arrives, 10 loads, 1 empty, 256 tons, caboose 04343.
2:50 PM Train 115, engine 479, arrives, 5 cars. Departs at 3:45 PM (5 hrs. 5 mins. late).
5:00 PM Extra east 477-491 departs for Alamosa.
5:10 PM Extra east 498-496 (with train) departs for Alamosa.
