483 Screen Saver Previews now available *LINK*

One of yesterday's posts prompted me to get off on my duff in front of the 'puter and update the site that Roger Hogan started to build a few months ago. With the good news this weekend that there WILL be a 2006 season, it's time to spread the word about the C&TS. What better way than with a screen-saver for Christmas? While all of the 480's are very similar, #483 is of special historic significance. She was one of the most-used engines in the 1960's, and was often seen at the head end of special passenger trains over Cumbres in addition to her frequent use in freight service. She helped pull the last westbound train of revenue freight over Cumbres in August of 1968, and was the last engine operated over the pass by the D&RGW in December of that year. #483 was also the C&TS first engine, and the first to pull a C&TS train into Chama - on Labor Day Weekend, 1970. Please help us restore this special engine to her rightful place at the head of a train!
