WP&Y #69 - smokin'

On Wednesday, August 31, Steven Butler and crew fired the WP&Y #69 up again, and ran it from the Skagway shop to the depot and back, about a 4-mile round trip. All went well. The little jaunt did shake loose a new list of items needing to be taken care of. Steven intends firing the #69 up again this week on Tuesday or Wednesday, and putting some more miles on it. If all goes well with all this running around the yard, then Steven will take it “up the hill” for a real work out. So far, Steven finds the engine firing well and responding very well to the throttle.
