I will be in Costa Rica in August and want to gather some information ahead of time. I am aware of the Tico Train Tour running out of San Jose and have contacted them about reservations. They are not running now but they claim they will be running by August. I also have been told some freight is running between San Jose and the West Coast. I have also been told that the East Coast line is out of service but that at least one portion might be operated from time to time. Does anyone have any recent information on what lines are running and when?
