Need Huckleberry Railroad Advice

HI,
It is looking like my only trip of the summer will be to Michigan and I am planning a visit to the Huckleberry Railroad on either June 18 or 19.
Is there anything that would make going one day better than the other - such as more trips one day?
I plan on riding the first trip of the day and trying to photograph the later trains - any tips on photography?
Is it possible to view the train along the line from the Genesee Belle? I thought about riding the boat, but only if I can watch the train!!!
Any other tips for making the most of my day there would be great!
