I was watching the RFD show about South African Garrets. Those are wild and neat looing beasts.
It brought to mind a question.
I can see taking a 36" gauge loco and making it run on 3'6" gauge. (maybe not reasonable for an outside frame mike)
How hard is it to go the other way, go from 42" to 36" gauge? I'd guess it depends on if it is inside or outside frame.
The Garretts on the video were both inside and outside frame (depends on the class).
