There was a mill located just north of Ouray that was served by the D&RGW and it was served by an elevated spur that was run thru the top of the mill. Does anyone know if ore was dumped at the top and then processed? Did this require that the milled ore be sacked and then reloaded in box cars to be sent out later. Photos of the mill are in the Colo R.R. Museum annual on Ouray. If this was the process how common was it.
